The hat builder runs on our own site today. Customers upload a logo, see it on a leather patch on the real hat, and send it to us for a proof. Now we are turning it into an app you can put on your Wix site.

How it works
Your customers do the design work. You get a clean order with everything you need to make it.
- Your customer uploads a logo. PNG, JPG, SVG or WEBP. No logo yet? They can still build the hat and send the file later.
- They build the hat. Pick the style and color, a leather patch or embroidery, the patch shape, size, leather color and thread.
- They see it before they buy. A live preview shows their logo on the real blank, not a drawing.
- You get the order. The mockup and the customer's original logo file come with it, ready for your proof.
Hats
Built around leather patch hats, with embroidery as an option.
Seven patch shapes
Rectangle, square, circle, hexagon, buckle, arch and octagon. Customers set the width and height.
Leather and thread colors
Natural, saddle and chestnut leather or black leatherette, with five thread colors.
Embroidery option
Customers can switch to embroidery, with your own upcharges for things like 3D puff and side logos.
Real blank photos
Every style and color shows a real supplier photo, so the hat they see is the hat they get.
English and Spanish
Customers can switch the builder between English and Spanish.
Mockups on every order
The mockup and the logo file go with the order and its emails, so nothing gets lost.

Front (small or large), back, and both sleeves, with the shirt shown all the way around.
Screen print or DTF
Choose the method for each spot. Set how many screen print colors you can run, and logos are adjusted to fit.

Made to look like your shop
You set the builder's colors and fonts to match your site, pick the styles you carry, and set your own prices. Wix comes first, with GoDaddy and Shopify planned after.

Can I try it before it launches?
Yes. The hat builder is live in our own shop at hobbspeak.com/build-your-hat. Your version will use your branding, styles and prices.
Which platforms will it work on?
Wix first. GoDaddy and Shopify are planned after the Wix version is out.
Can I use my own prices and blanks?
Yes. You choose which styles and colors to offer and set your own prices and upcharges.
What file types can customers upload?
PNG, JPG, SVG and WEBP. Dark artwork on a white or clear background works best. Customers without a file can send it later.
Does the customer see a real proof?
The live preview is close, and the order carries the customer's original file, so you can draw up your normal proof before you make anything.
When does the shirt builder come out?
